Investment Criteria

Folmer invests:

• In Finnish companies in which recognisable possibilities are seen to get a deep perception of business logic. Folmer doesn't invest in start up companies.
• Mainly in majority shares. Folmer might also invest in minority shares.
• In companies, in which a possibility to create value is seen by restructuring finance or ownership.
• In companies, in which profitability can be improved by intensifying procedures or utilizing core competences fully.
• When growth potential can be achieved by new products or geographical enlargement.
• When competitive advantages can be achieved by improving management, controlling or incentive systems.
• When there are consolidation possibilities in the industry.

The typical turnover of a company invested in is 2-50 meur and enterprise value 5-15 meur. In large investments or in case of the strategic partnership investments can be made together with other equity investors. In that case the syndicated investment can be considerably larger.
